More Really Chaps my Butt

What about the tags in grocery stores?  What is up with that?  How many times have you got to the register ready to pay for your groceries only to find out that what you thought was on sale, isn't.  It was the item under the tag or above the tag.  You can't read the tags because the writing is so small even with binoculars on it's unreadable.  Or if you can read it, it makes no sense.   I think they do this on purpose so you will be too embarrassed to put the item back or they hope you don't notice it until you get home.

How about employers that want you to prepare for your job off the clock.  When you walk thru that door, your at work!  It really chaps my butt when CEO's with million dollar salaries squeeze their employees so hard while paying the bare min.   Do this for your company or do that.  Your lucky to have a job. Why don't they take a salary cut and pay their employees more!  They are lucky to have employees so desperate for a job they take the abuse.

Be careful when you donate  to charities. Most charities only donate 10% of their profits to actual charity.  I was told the Salvation Army is the only charity that donates 90% of their profits.   The widow of a military man said her husband told her that the Salvation Army actually came to the front lines during war time to bring cigarettes to the soldiers and didn't even charge them.

How about selfish husbands.  My husband will watch sports all day while I do the laundry, clean the house, take care of all the other chores and cook dinner.  When I finally sit down to eat dinner and want to watch a show, he doesn't like the shows I like and still wants to control the TV.  Do men have any guilt feelings at all?  Men aren't from Mars, they are from selfishville.  Their mothers should have slapped some common courteousy in them when they were little turds.  And if I hear one more time how men work so hard  and women don't do anything.  Let me tell you men, most of you, not all, you need to reexamine what you think work is!  At least your day ends when you get home.  Mothers never get rest, sleep, free time, or credit when deserved.   To you kids, "MOM" does not mean, "Made of Money".

That Really Chaps my Butt

Life is so short you just can't let things get to you!
Everyday I wake up with a cheerful disposition and shortly after my morning coffee things start migrating south.  Especially when the free coffee you drove to get from a promotion at a local drive thru tastes like it has been on the burner all day and they don't add the right amount of cream and sugar.  Then when you go to take a sip the cup dribbles because the lid is on wrong.  Now your clothes are spotted like yesterdays laundry.
Have you ever noticed how cashiers seldom say thank you anymore?  Now I'm not giving my age up, but "back in my day", "after I walked a mile to school", I was taught the customer is always right and cashiers were friendly.  Isn't that how you keep them coming back? After my change is thrown back at me and no eye contact is made between us, I usually leave with a complex and end up telling them -thank you and have a nice day. I guess I missed my calling.
I don't understand why bagboys/girls aren't taught the basics of bagging 101.  Now I may not be a rocket scientist, but mixing cold items with shelf items in each bag is baffling to me.  When I get home I have to thaw out the ketchup and remember not to put the frozen food in the pantry.
I don't know how often you eat out, but at our house if we didn't have a microwave and McDonalds closed, we would probably starve.  We have learned that you have to check your order before you leave the drive thru.  For some reason remembering no onions, ketchup only is quite a challenge.  Seldom is the order right, even when you stand there and tell them blue cheese no ranch, only to get home ready to dig into your delicious meal and find you have ranch and they forgot the fries.
My husband thinks it's all about the food while I feel atmosphere is equally important.  You can serve him a burger on a Dixie plate and let him finish off the soda in a 2 liter jug as long as he's in his recliner with his TV, he's happy.  Now I on the other hand, want to come home and have a nice hot meal.  The only problem is I have to fix it.  By the time I get everyone fed he's done and my food is cold.  That's why my favorite thing to make for dinner are reservations.  No cooking, no clean up, hot food with the family and a relaxing atmosphere.  Ahhh.  Now with me it's quantity and quality.  I don't care if a restaurant has the best burgers in town, if I have to sit next to a biker with tattoos and nose rings, I would rather go to I Hop or my favorite, Bob Evans. No offence bikers and nose rings. It's not you, it's me.  I also don't want to go to a place where the appetizer cost more than most meals and when they bring out your meal you have to ask your husband if you can stop at Burger King on the way home.
You know what really chaps my butt?  I'll tell you anyway.  People who are cheap.  If you are pretty well off, nice retirement and wanting for nothing, why are you so cheap?  Maybe you are Egyptian and think your family will bury your valuables with you to use in the next life.  Boy, wait till that day comes and you find that you'll leave the way you came into this world, with nothing, but your good deeds.  If you see someone struggling who never seems to catch a break and just needs  a little help to get back on their feet, help them!  You might actually get some satisfaction from it and feel like your life has meaning.
I really try not to get jealous of other people.  When someone is born with good looks, good for them.  When someone is born with intelligence, quick witted and the gift to gab, ok, not everyone is that lucky.  But when someone has all of that, now that is downright unfair.

What chaps your butt?
